With deep roots in healthcare, Victoria Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is the longest, continuously operating private hospital in Miami, having opened in 1924 as Victoria Hospital. The hospital, listed at the time at 925 N.W. 3rd St. in Little Havana, was the first hospital in the local phone book in the summer of 1924.

The original hospital building was rebuilt in the 1970s and opened with 300 beds on Sept. 9, 1973 at its current location, 955 N.W. 3rd St.  Today, Victoria Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a for-profit skilled nursing facility with 264 beds, of which 196 beds are private.
